The bath tub spout is made with a zinc alloy that helps prevent wear and tear from repeated use. The polished chrome tub spout includes a front diverter lift that lets you direct water flow down into the tub or upward into the showerhead. Free hex wrench for screw and unscrew. For exposed 1/2" norminal (5/8" OD) copper tube that is 1-1/2" (min) to 2-7/8" (max) from wall. Remove old tub spout, cut to size if copper tube is longer than 2-7/8" from wall, slip new tub spout over copper tube, make sure copper tube is free of burrs and sharp edges, align spout for vertical water flow and using wrench to tighten screw on under side of spout.
